Fairfield County – Lancaster Celebrates New Year with Glass Town Countdown

Fairfield – Downtown Lancaster opens up for New Year’s every year with food, fun, and of course the ball drops at the second the clock strikes midnight and turns over to 2024.

The centerpiece is a 500-pound giant globe made up of more than 500 hand-blown glass ornaments created by citizens, friends, and visitors to Lancaster at the Ohio Glass Museum and Glassblowing Studio and Destination Downtown Lancaster.

Events will happen in the downtown area where local restaurants will offer local wares, hot food, and adult beverages that can be carried in the DORA district. Live music will be playing and along with the giant globe raise, there also will be fireworks at the strike of Midnight.
