Lancaster – A 50-year-old man was part of a sting operation that was set up by Bikers Against Predators, a non-profit organization set up aimed to catch predators online that attempt to meet children online for sexual activity.
Gary Skinner was a target of that operation when he offered to meet an 11-year-old girl with whom he had exchanged heated sexual messages online. His plan was to meet the girl at a local Marathon gas station that was within walking distance from his house where he planned to take the girl back to his apartment to have sex.
Bikers against predators, reported when they were on scene and went live to cover the event. Skinner was seen in the video walking up at the gas station and walking up to a decoy and attempting to take the girl back to his apartment. Skinner when approached by a representative of the nonprofit and asked what he was doing walked away and went back to his apartment. During the exchange, Skinner apologized for what he did but insisted that the group leave him alone and hide in his apartment. Shortly afterward Bikers against Predators contacted the Lancaster police who took a report on the solicitation and made an arrest.
50-year-old Gary Skinner was arrested and taken to Fairfield County Jail where he was charged with Importuning.
