CIRCLEVILLE — Congressman Dave Taylor recently toured the Sofidel plant in Pickaway County, calling it an “honor” to see firsthand the work of one of the world’s largest paper producers.

Taylor was joined by Charity, Health and Safety Manager Randy Kuhner, and Facility Manager Brian Graves during his visit to the 283-acre site — the largest Sofidel facility in the world, known as a “mega site.” The Circleville location employs more than 580 Ohioans and is part of a third-generation family business.

Sofidel is the fifth-largest paper producer globally, manufacturing approximately 140,000 tons of toilet paper annually. During the tour, Taylor noted the size of one of the plant’s signature products — a massive roll of toilet paper stretching 40 miles in length.

The congressman praised the company’s role in supporting the local economy and pledged to continue advocating in Washington for businesses like Sofidel that “keep communities booming.”
