According to Columbus Police the six teens ages 16 to 21 jumped in the Scioto river water with their inner tubes around 7 pm tonight around the area of the Columbus Zoo. They traveled around three miles when they realized they were in trouble and started calling for help. Luckily a couple doing a photo shoot heard their screams for help and called 911.

Columbus lanced their boat rescue from the Scioto park off Riverside dr. on the Scioto river where police say they rescued the kids hanging on branches, two were on an island in the middle of the river, one was on a impassible embankment and one was saved that was still in the water.
