CIRCLEVILLE – Walmart in Circleville will be offering COvid-19 testing in a drive thru parking lot set up starting soon.
Walmart has teamed up with eTrueNorth and Quest Diagnostics for testing capabilities. So far Walmart has opened 139 sites in 22 states that have tested more than 38,000 people.
“Walmart is part of communities all across America, and we believe we can play a vital role by helping our neighbors in a time of crisis. We know how important expanded testing is to getting America back on its feet, and we are committed to supporting efforts to expand COVID-19 drive-thru testing. Since the public-private partnership was announced on March 13, 2020, we have been working closely with lab partners, HHS, and state and local officials to select testing sites in areas of need. We learned from our initial sites to get the model right and are expanding testing in areas of need.”
The drive-through testing sites is available to those who meet CDC and state and local guidelines on who should be tested, including first responders, health care providers and others with symptoms of COVID-19 and those in high risk groups without symptoms, a appointment is required.

Walmart pharmacists are observing the swabbing. Other Walmart associates are helping with on-site support tasks such as directing traffic and ID checks at the testing sites. Walmart says that they are donating our parking lot space, site supplies and materials, and the associates’ time.
