
CIRCLEVILLE, OH — The Circleville Police Department responded to a steady stream of calls for service throughout Thursday, October 9, 2025, handling a mix of routine patrols, complaints, and incidents across the city.
According to department logs, officers conducted numerous extra patrols overnight and early morning hours, including checks on Hillcrest Drive, Watt Street, North Pickaway Street, Atwater Avenue, North Court Street, West Main Street, East Circle Lane, U.S. 23, Clinton Street, Cottage Hill Lane, and South Pickaway Street. All locations were reported as “checked okay.”
At 5:10 a.m., officers responded to Elm Avenue for a dirt bike/ATV complaint, but the individuals were gone on arrival.
Later in the day, police handled a range of other incidents, including:
- Juvenile complaints on Nicholas Drive, Faye Avenue, and South Court Street — reports taken
- A hit-skip accident on South Court Street — report taken
- A fight on East Mill Street — report taken
- A repossession of vehicle on East Franklin Street — information obtained
- A suspicious person on Plum Street — checked okay
- Property damage on East Union Street — no report taken
- A homeless person complaint on North Court Street — report taken
- A theft in progress on Morris Road — report taken
Other calls included a fire alarm drop on Kingston Pike (handled on scene by EMS), fire department mutual aid on Dowler Drive, a disabled vehicle on U.S. 23, and a contained fire on Half Avenue.
In total, officers handled 34 calls for service during the 24-hour period, ensuring coverage across residential neighborhoods and main thoroughfares.
