
CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio – Circleville Police kept busy Thursday, August 21, responding to a total of 47 service calls ranging from traffic stops and extra patrols to thefts and arrests.
The day began just after midnight with officers conducting multiple extra patrols across the city, including Maumee Drive, North Court Street, Morris Road, Stoutsville Pike, and State Route 188. Several traffic stops were also made overnight, resulting in warnings.
A theft was reported on East Mound Street around 1:30 a.m., and another theft was taken later in the evening on East Ohio Street. Officers also investigated a prowler call on East Franklin Street at 3:27 a.m., but the subject was gone before police arrived.
Through the day, police responded to a variety of incidents including:
- Trespassing reported on North Court Street at 10:04 a.m.
- Disturbance on North Pickaway Street at 11:44 a.m.
- Threats/harassment reported on North Pickaway Street just after noon.
- Parking complaints on East High Street and Atwater Avenue.
- Well-being checks in several areas, including East Ohio Street, South Scioto Street, South Washington Street, Villa Drive, and West Franklin Street.
- Carbon monoxide investigation on East Ohio Street at 5:12 p.m., which checked okay.
Later in the evening, officers handled a vehicle repossession on Lynwood Avenue and responded to an injury crash on West Main Street at 8:59 p.m.
One of the more serious calls came at 10:26 p.m. when police arrested an intoxicated individual on Lancaster Pike. A domestic trouble incident was also reported on East Main Street earlier that night.
Circleville Police say many of the calls were resolved with checks or warnings, while others required reports to be taken for further investigation.
