Circleville Police Handle Thefts, Breaking & Entering, and Fight Call on September 22

CIRCLEVILLE, OH — Circleville Police officers responded to 50 incidents across the city on Monday, September 22, ranging from routine patrols to theft investigations and a reported fight.

The day began shortly after midnight with several extra patrols across Circleville, including East Circle Lane, South Court Street, and U.S. 23. Officers also checked on a suspicious person on North Court Street, but the individual was gone before they arrived.

In the early morning hours, officers responded to a stolen vehicle complaint on South West Street, though no report was filed. A vehicle lockout on West Franklin Street was handled later with a report taken.

Investigations continued throughout the morning with calls for domestic trouble on West High Street, a traffic stop on North Court Street, and theft reported on Lewis Road. Fraud on East Ohio Street and a breaking and entering case on Nicholas Drive also drew police response. Officers additionally recovered found property, including narcotics, which was referred to another agency.

In the afternoon and evening, police handled a range of civil issues, suspicious vehicle calls, and neighbor disputes. Around 5:50 p.m., officers responded to a burglary-in-progress call on Clinton Street, but no report was taken. A fight was reported on South Pickaway Street at 6:10 p.m., where officers filed a report.

The day concluded with traffic details and a theft complaint along U.S. 23 at 8:46 p.m.

While many calls resulted in no formal reports, police documented several active cases, including thefts, fraud, breaking and entering, neighbor trouble, and a physical altercation.
