CIRCLEVILLE, OH — A lucky lottery player is thousands of dollars richer after purchasing a winning scratch-off ticket right here in Circleville.
The player won a $50,000 prize after purchasing a $30 “$2,000,000 Cashword” scratch-off ticket at the Circleville Mini Mart, located at 520 E. Main St.
After required state and federal tax withholdings totaling 26.75%, the winner will take home a net payout of $36,625.
According to the Ohio Lottery, the $2,000,000 Cashword game features over $93 million in total cash prizes. As of mid-August, one top prize—paying $80,000 a year for 25 years—remains unclaimed.
