NEW HOLLAND, Ohio — The New Holland Police Department is thanking the Circleville American Legion Post 134 after receiving a $5,000 donation that will help strengthen public safety efforts in the village.
In a letter of appreciation, New Holland Police Chief Jason Lawless expressed gratitude to the American Legion members for their generous contribution, calling it an investment in the safety and well-being of the community.
According to Lawless, the donation will allow the department to purchase equipment and resources that enhance officers’ ability to serve and protect New Holland residents.
“The generosity and commitment demonstrated by the Circleville American Legion reflect the strong partnership that exists between our law enforcement agencies and the communities we proudly serve,” Lawless wrote.
The chief also recognized the American Legion’s longstanding commitment to supporting military veterans and local communities, saying the organization’s generosity will have a lasting impact on both the police department and the residents it serves.
Lawless thanked Post 134 members for their confidence in the department and said he looks forward to continuing the partnership for years to come.
The $5,000 donation is expected to be used to improve equipment and resources that support the department’s public safety mission.
