
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department logged more than two dozen incidents on Monday, August 18, ranging from warrant arrests and disorderly conduct complaints to traffic violations and a fatal crash investigation assist.
According to CPD’s daily media report, officers began their shift just after midnight with a warrant service at 28 N. Paint Street. Another warrant contact followed shortly after at Yoctangee Park near the YMCA.
Around 1:16 a.m., officers responded to a theft complaint on Ervin Avenue, while a separate call at 5:36 a.m. led to an assault investigation on West 5th Street.
Traffic enforcement throughout the day included multiple stops for texting while driving on East Water Street, operating without a valid license, fictitious plates, and failure to yield at intersections. One pedestrian was also cited after reportedly darting into traffic on East Main Street near Rose Street.
Other notable calls included:
- Breaking and entering report on South Watt Street.
- Several disorderly conduct complaints on Delano Avenue, Clay Street, and at Tiffin Towers.
- Domestic violence report at Overlook Apartments on Anderson Station Road.
- Trespassing incidents at West 2nd and North Paint Streets, and later at Mr. Sub on East Main Street.
- A hit-skip crash reported on Arch Street at 10:07 p.m.
In all, police documented 26 reports over the course of the day. Many remain under investigation.
