
CHILLICOTHE, OH – The Chillicothe Police Department was kept busy Thursday, June 5, responding to a range of incidents throughout the city, including traffic violations, thefts, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief.
Early in the morning around 12:17 a.m., officers responded to a traffic accident at North Bridge and East Water Streets involving issues related to headlights and right-of-way violations. Just 30 minutes later, another call brought police to the IHOP on Consumer Center Drive for a hit-skip crash. Both investigations remain ongoing.
Shortly before 8 a.m., a warrant was served on North Paint Street. Later in the morning, officers conducted multiple traffic enforcement stops using Lidar along North Bridge Street between 7th Street and Eastern Avenue. Several citations were issued for speeding in a 35 mph zone, and one stop at 9:49 a.m. resulted in charges for driving under an OVI suspension and operating a vehicle without a license.

At 9:05 a.m., police were dispatched to Fairway Avenue following reports of a theft at the law complex. Another theft was reported at 2:49 p.m. on South McArthur Street, and yet another incident involving a stolen check was reported on Western Avenue at 2:38 p.m.
Disorderly conduct and criminal trespass were reported around 11:43 a.m. when a female caused a disturbance inside a financial institution on Consumer Center Drive. Additional disorderly conduct involving an intoxicated male was reported at 6:40 p.m. near Douglas Avenue and Dayton Street.
Later in the evening, officers responded to a report of criminal mischief involving damage to a vehicle on Cedar Street and a criminal trespassing complaint at 40 North Bridge Street around 11 p.m., where a female reportedly refused to leave the premises.
Other notable incidents included:
- A loose and aggressive dog reported at North Poplar Street around 4:25 p.m.
- A theft report from 28 North Paint Street around 5:39 p.m.
- Two separate stops for driving under suspension and invalid license plates, including a maroon Chevy Impala on East Main Street and a silver Honda Odyssey on North Bridge Street.
In the East Main Street traffic stop, the driver, identified as Bradley Gorre, was found to be under a license suspension due to non-compliance and was issued a citation. He is scheduled to appear in Chillicothe Municipal Court on June 13.
The Chillicothe Police Department logged a total of 18 incidents throughout the day, continuing investigations in several of the cases.
