Chillicothe, OH – The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a series of incidents throughout the city on July 20, 2024, involving a range of offenses from traffic violations to criminal activities.
One of the incidents involved a traffic stop on East Main Street around 1:28 AM, where officers issued a ticket for Driving Under Suspension (DUS). The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
Shortly after, at approximately 1:39 AM, officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on North Rose Street involving a red Chevy Malibu suspected of trafficking drugs included in Schedule I or II. The investigation into this incident is also pending.
Around 2:36 AM, another DUS offense was reported on East 8th Street. Details of this incident are being investigated.
At 3:29 AM, a fleeing/eluding with a motor vehicle and expired plate/validation incident occurred on East Main Street. Officers were working patrol on Water Street when this incident unfolded.
Other incidents included a hit-and-run crash reported at 4:13 AM on East Main Street, and a DUS violation at 4:31 AM on North Bridge Street.
Throughout the day, officers responded to various calls including disorderly conduct on McKeller Street at 5:11 AM and another incident of disorderly conduct involving an intoxicated individual creating a risk of harm on East 2nd Street at 6:30 AM.
Later in the day, officers were dispatched to a non-criminal incident at Take 5 Car Wash on East Main Street at 8:32 AM, and a minor injury crash at the Kroger on Western Avenue at 9:41 AM.
