Chillicothe Police Respond to 19 Incidents on September 6

CHILLICOTHE, OH – September 7, 2025 — Chillicothe Police officers were kept busy Saturday, responding to 19 calls for service ranging from domestic violence and disorderly conduct to warrant arrests and trespassing complaints.

The day began just after 1 a.m. with a report of a possible burglary on Columbus Street. Within two hours, officers conducted a stop on South McArthur Street, where a man on a bicycle without lights was found to have a warrant and allegedly obstructed official business. Shortly after, officers handled a disorderly conduct call in an alley near the Ross County Jail.

By sunrise, police were called to a domestic dispute on South Brownell Street involving an intoxicated individual, followed by a warrant service at Jack’s Tire and Auto Center on South Paint Street. Later in the morning, officers responded to a domestic violence complaint at a West Water Street residence.

The afternoon brought more activity, including trespassing reports on Columbus and East Main streets, a drug-related call on South Hickory Street that led to warrant and paraphernalia charges, and a fight reported on East 4th Street. Officers also investigated a breaking and entering incident flagged down on South Douglas Avenue near the railroad tracks.

Evening calls included a disorderly domestic dispute on North Paint Street, a vehicle crash at Maple Avenue and East 7th Street, and the arrest of a juvenile with an active warrant on Winona Boulevard.

Several warrant services were successfully carried out throughout the day, including one at the Ross County Jail. Police noted that some reports remain under investigation.
