
CHILLICOTHE, OH — July 30, 2025 — Chillicothe Police officers responded to a wide range of calls across the city on Monday, July 29, including multiple thefts, a domestic violence incident, disorderly conduct, and several arrests on active warrants.
At 9:58 a.m., officers began investigating a reported theft at Taylor’s Stag Bar on East Main Street. Two other thefts were also reported shortly after — one on Star Drive and another on Gilmore Street. In total, at least six theft complaints were recorded throughout the day, including at Menards, Speedway on North Bridge Street, and Greenway Avenue.
A non-suspicious death was also reported on Gilmore Street, and authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.
Disorderly conduct incidents were logged at Sherman Park and the Par Mar Store on North Bridge Street. One of the more serious calls came at 5:30 p.m. on East 4th Street, where police responded to a domestic violence call. A juvenile was arrested after allegedly pepper-spraying her mother during a dispute.
Criminal trespassing incidents were reported at 602 Lincoln Park and Menards, and a warrant arrest was made at Steiner’s Speakeasy on South Paint Street later that night around 10:40 p.m. Another subject with an active warrant was also taken into custody at the Ross County Jail earlier in the day.
Traffic enforcement and vehicle violations were also part of the day’s workload. One woman was cited on North Bridge Street for driving under suspension and failing to stop at a posted sign.
Police continue to investigate several of these cases, including multiple thefts, a hit-skip crash on West Water Street, and reports of threats and harassment.
