Chillicothe Police Handle 31 Incidents on Wednesday, Including Assault, Theft, and Drug Trafficking

CHILLICOTHE, OH — The Chillicothe Police Department (CPD) responded to 31 incidents on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, according to the daily media report released on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 08:14 AM EDT. The day in Ross County featured a range of calls, including an assault, thefts, drug investigations, and a warrant arrest.

The day began at 12:24 AM with a dispatch to MacArthur Gardens on Columbus St. regarding a disorderly conduct incident that escalated to an assault investigation (PD-P2502795). At 6:54 AM, officers responded to the 500 block of Cedar St. for a stolen car report (PD-P2502796), followed by a welfare check on Safford Ave at 7:25 AM (PD-P2502800). Multiple parking issues were addressed on Madison Ave at 7:34 AM, 7:44 AM, and 8:38 AM (PD-P2502797, PD-P2502798, PD-P2502799), though two reports were later deemed errors. Similar parking concerns were noted on Monroe Ave at 8:56 AM and 9:36 AM (PD-P2502801, PD-P2502802), and E 4th St at 10:03 AM and 10:33 AM (PD-P2502803, PD-P2502805), with additional calls on Lillie St at 11:05 AM and Charles St at 11:08 AM (PD-P2502806, PD-P2502807).

A misuse of credit card case linked to a theft at Houch’s on E Main St was dispatched at 12:17 PM (PD-P2502811), with another credit card misuse report on Mechanic St at 6:37 PM (PD-P2502820). An unruly juvenile was arrested on Burbridge St at 1:45 PM (PD-P2502812), and a dog bite incident was reported in the 600 block of E Main St at 2:48 PM (PD-P2502813).

Criminal mischief and theft by shoplifting were noted at Walmart on River Trace Ln at 5:00 PM (PD-P2502816), while a drug trafficking investigation began on N Paint St at 6:05 PM (PD-P2502818).
