Chillicothe Man Arrested for Arson After Starting Trash Can Fire

CHILLICOTHE – A homeless man was arrested after starting a fire and claiming he was being harassed.

According to the Chillicothe Police department on 11/02/21 around 6:45 pm, the police department and fire department were called to Central Center Hardware where a fire had been reported in a trash can.

When they arrived they found Brandon Garrison that was yelling not too far from the flames. When police interviewed Garrison he told police that he had started the fire because he was being harassed and wanted police to respond to his location. According to the report no one else was in the area, and the man did not tell police who was harassing him, just that he had been harassed.

Garrision was taken into custody and charged with Arson.
