Chillicothe Car Rollover Suspected to be Impairment of Driver

ChillicotheThe Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single vehicle injury car crash in Scioto Township, Ross County, Ohio. 

On November 4, 2018, at approximately 5:17 P.M., a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Megan Gibson, age 35, of Chillicothe, Ohio and juvenile passenger, age 4, was traveling northwest on US Route 35, near milepost 17, in Ross County. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a raised crossover and overturned multiple times. Ms. Gibson was not wearing her safety belt at the time of the crash. The juvenile was properly restrained in the vehicle. Both occupants were transported by EMS to Adena Regional Medical Center. Ms. Gibson was later flown to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio for her injuries. The juvenile was flown to Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio for his injuries. 

Scioto Township Fire & EMS, Union Township Fire & EMS and Chillicothe EMS assisted on scene. 
Impairment is suspected to be a factor of the crash. Motorists are reminded to wear their safety belts. 

The crash remains under investigation.
