
CHILLICOTHE, OH – The Ross County Historical Society invites the public to step back in time this Independence Day weekend with “A Visit From George Washington” at the Ross County Heritage Center, scheduled for Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at 45 W Fifth St, Chillicothe, OH 45601. The event, announced at 1:45 PM EDT on Thursday, June 26, 2025, offers a unique historical experience as part of the Fourth of July celebrations.
Nationally acclaimed re-enactor Curt Radabaugh will portray George Washington, sharing captivating stories from his early career as a young officer in the Ohio Country during the Seven Years’ War, his leadership in the Continental Army during the American Revolution, and his tenure as the nation’s first president. This program provides an engaging opportunity for visitors of all ages to connect with the life and legacy of one of America’s most revered founders.
Prior to the presentation, guests can explore the museum’s current exhibit, “The Ohio Militia: 1803–1876,” and enjoy light refreshments.
