
CHILLICOTHE, OH — The Chillicothe Police Department stayed busy through the early morning hours and into Saturday, responding to a series of incidents including a downtown bar fight, a residential burglary, and multiple traffic collisions.
Below are the key incidents from the April 25 daily media report:
Early Morning Chaos & Theft
- The Wobbly Ghost Fight: Officers kicked off the weekend shift at 1:03 AM, responding to a report of an active fight at The Wobbly Ghost bar on E. Main Street. The incident is currently listed under disorderly conduct.
- Vehicle Theft Discovery: At 2:10 AM, patrolling officers spotted a vehicle with its trunk left open near the intersection of Elm and Mill Streets. Upon further inspection, it was determined that a theft from the vehicle had occurred.
- Reckless Driving: Just after 3:00 AM, a traffic stop on E. 4th Street led to charges for Reckless Operation and Driving Under Suspension (FRA).
Criminal Investigations
- Church Street Burglary: Officers responded to the 300 block of Church Street at 10:43 AM following a burglary report. Police took a formal report, and the investigation remains open and ongoing.
- Trespassing and Drugs: A trespassing complaint at 19 E. Main Street at 2:53 PM led to an investigation into both criminal trespass and the illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Obstructing Justice: At 8:50 PM on E. 4th Street, an officer on patrol attempted to contact a subject suspected of having an active arrest warrant. This resulted in an investigation for Obstructing Official Business.

Traffic Accidents
Saturday saw a string of non-injury traffic incidents across the city:
- W. Water St. & Park St.: A driver was cited for operating a vehicle without a valid license following a crash.
- N. Bridge St.: Officers responded to the Red Lobster parking area for a non-injury accident caused by an improper turn.
- S. Mulberry St.: A report was taken regarding a backing accident involving two vehicles.
Miscellaneous
- Welfare Check & Warrant: A welfare check at 7:26 AM on E. 7th Street remains under investigation in relation to a warrant.
- Poland Park Property: Found property was recovered by officers at the intersection of S. Hickory and Burbridge Streets (Poland Park) just after 8:00 AM.
- Orbeez/Threats: A “threats complaint” was filed from Church Street mid-morning, which is still being reviewed by dispatch and investigating officers.
