Allen Raymond Svetek, age 78, passed away at his residence on January 26, 2026. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 23, 1947 to the late Raymond and Mary (Kapudja) Svetek. He was a graduate of West Geauga High School, Class of 1965. Following high school, he was drafted into the United States Air Force. After serving his country, Allen worked with the Ohio State Highway Patrol for over 30 years and continuing his civil service with the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Department. Allen married Lynne in 1976 and settled down on her family farm outside of Stoutsville building a life for over 41 years before her passing and raising their 3 children. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren, and he remained very involved in their active lives, including various sporting and school events. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved many outdoor activities including golfing, chopping wood, hiking, hunting, fishing and camping.
In addition to his parents, Allen is preceded in death by his wife, Lynne Svetek and his brother, Robert Svetek. He is survived by his children Kenton (Heather) Svetek, Kristin (Jeff) Marks, and Jared (Nerissa) Svetek; his grandchildren Carson Svetek, Morgan Svetek, Aubrey Marks, Ava Marks, and Kaia Svetek; his sister, Janet (Bob) Frazier; and many other relatives and friends.
Cremation will take place per Allen’s wishes. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 151 East Main Street Circleville.
