Accident Outside of New Holland Sends Two to Hospital


PICKAWAY – A two vehicle accident occurred on Route 22 around 7 pm on Monday July 29, 2019.

According to Ohio State Highway Patrol A grey Dodge Dakota was traveling Eastbound on 22 towards Williamsport when the driver failed to maintain his lane and veered into the Westbound lane. Occupants of the Mitsubishi Montero SUV attempted to avoid the on coming truck by pulling into the shoulder in the right westbound lane, but the Dakota sideswiped the SUV anyways sending it into the ditch on the Northside of the road. The Dakota after the initial hit continued off the Northside of 22 into a ditch where it rolled over on its top just before the intersection of Mouser Rd.

Pick-a-Fay and Williamsport Safety forces responded to the accident and Transported one to Berger Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the other was transported to Washington Court House Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police said they were investigating the incident to see if the driver of the Dakota was impaired.
