CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Two people were arrested early Sunday morning after a reported brawl inside the Main Street Pub resulted in allegations of physical assault, hidden weapons, and a pair of brass knuckles recovered from a restroom trash can.

Officers with the Circleville Police Department responded to 207 W. Main Street at approximately 12:12 a.m. on September 27, 2026, following reports of an active, escalating fight involving multiple patrons.

According to police narratives, officers arrived to find a chaotic scene inside and outside the establishment. As officers began interviewing witnesses and victims, bystanders pointed out a man and woman attempting to leave the scene on a motorcycle.

Police intercepted the couple, later identified as Codi Ramsey and Desiree Ramsey, and ordered them to stay put pending the investigation.

Escalating Tension and Video Evidence

Multiple patrons at the scene told officers that the altercation began when Desiree Ramsey aggressively body-checked and antagonized female patrons inside the bar.

According to victim and witness statements, Codi Ramsey then got involved, physically attacking a female patron by grabbing her, shoving her against a wall, striking her in the face, and kicking her. Witnesses told police Codi Ramsey explicitly admitted to the assault mid-altercation, stating he hit the victim because she went after his wife.

When officers evaluated the victim at the scene, they observed visible redness on her face and arms, along with bruising and broken skin on her shin where she was reportedly kicked. Other patrons reported receiving strikes to the head and mouth while trying to intervene.

During questioning, Desiree Ramsey claimed she was searching for her niece when a group of roughly three men jumped her husband over an association logo on his jacket. However, patrons provided officers with cell phone video footage showing Codi Ramsey attacking the female victim before other patrons stepped in to pin him down.

Cell phone recordings also showed Desiree Ramsey wearing brass knuckles on her right hand while attempting to swing at people during the melee. While she initially denied ever possessing or wearing brass knuckles, police noted video evidence clearly showed her wearing them both inside and outside the venue.

Restroom Recovery and Concealed Weapons

As officers conducted interviews, Circleville Police Sgt. Fox located a pair of brass knuckles hidden inside a trash can in the bar’s men’s restroom.

After officers placed Codi and Desiree Ramsey under arrest, a search incident to arrest revealed that Codi Ramsey had a second pair of brass knuckles concealed inside his shoes, along with a knife in his pocket. Both sets of brass knuckles were seized as evidence.

Charges and Hospital Transport

Codi Ramsey was initially taken to the Pickaway County Jail but was temporarily turned away due to facial cuts and head abrasions sustained during the brawl. Officers transported him to OhioHealth Berger Hospital for medical evaluation. Once cleared by hospital staff, he was re-transported to the county jail and booked.

Following the investigation:

  • Codi Ramsey was charged with Assault (ORC 2903.13(A)) and Carrying Concealed Weapons (ORC 2923.12(A)(1)).
  • Desiree Ramsey was charged with Disorderly Conduct (ORC 2917.11(A)(1)) and Carrying Concealed Weapons (ORC 2923.12(A)(1)).

Both individuals were formally served with trespass notices banning them from returning to the Main Street Pub. Circleville Police confirmed that body-worn cameras captured the response and subsequent arrests.
