Two people were injured Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Hagerty Road and Walnut Creek Pike in Walnut Township, according to the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash was reported at approximately 8:05 a.m. Sept. 15.
According to the sheriff’s report, a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling east on Hagerty Road and approached the intersection with Walnut Creek Pike, where it was required to stop. A Nissan Murano was traveling south on Walnut Creek Pike and did not have a stop sign.
The report states the Silverado failed to stop and struck the Nissan on the passenger side.
The impact caused the Nissan to roll over onto its roof in a grassy area southeast of the intersection. The Silverado came to a stop facing south in the northbound lane of Walnut Creek Pike.
Both drivers were injured and transported by emergency medical personnel for treatment. The report lists the injuries as possible injuries for the Silverado driver and suspected minor injuries for the Nissan driver.
The sheriff’s report indicates the Silverado driver was cited for failing to obey traffic control devices.
The crash occurred under clear weather conditions, with dry road conditions and dawn/dusk lighting, according to the report.
Deputies arrived at 8:11 a.m., and the scene was cleared at approximately 9:40 a.m.
