CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Police have cordoned off part of an AutoZone parking lot on West Mound Street following the discovery of an injured, unresponsive man inside a camper early Wednesday afternoon.
Circleville Police officers responded to the retail location around 12:00 p.m. after receiving a call reporting an injured individual. According to initial reports, the victim was found on the floor of a camper parked in the store’s parking lot, covered in blood and non-responsive.
Upon arrival, responding officers immediately secured the area with police tape, pushing onlookers back and establishing a crime scene around the vehicle and surrounding parking spaces.
The condition of the man, the exact nature of his injuries, and his identity have not yet been released by authorities. It is currently unclear if foul play is suspected or if any persons of interest have been identified.
Law enforcement remains on the scene as detectives begin their investigation.
