CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio—OhioHealth has announced plans to invest $10.2 million to expand and improve the Bradley Cancer Center at Berger Hospital. The project will enhance local cancer care for residents of Pickaway County and nearby communities, helping more patients receive treatment close to home.
The multi-phase project will unfold over the next two years. When complete, it will grow the hospital’s cancer program, enhance diagnostic imaging capacity and create new career opportunities in the region. The announcement follows a nearly $1.1 million donor-supported investment in 2025 that brought 3D mammography technology to Berger Hospital, allowing more than 4,500 women each year to access advanced breast cancer screenings locally.
The OhioHealth Bradley Cancer Center provides medical oncology, infusion therapy and supportive cancer care, allowing many patients to receive treatment close to home. This investment reflects OhioHealth’s ongoing commitment to meeting the healthcare needs of a growing community by expanding access to high-quality cancer care in Pickaway County and surrounding areas.
The Berger Hospital expansion is part of OhioHealth’s broader commitment to advancing cancer care across the region. OhioHealth is also investing in a new comprehensive outpatient cancer center in Columbus that will provide additional access to specialized cancer services for patients who need more complex care. For Berger Hospital patients, the center will strengthen connections to specialty care in Central Ohio while allowing patients to continue receiving appropriate cancer care close to home.
A Larger, More Comfortable Space for Patients
At the center of the investment is a renovated and expanded cancer center designed with patient comfort and future growth in mind. Cancer services will remain available throughout construction. Key improvements will include:
More private infusion spaces. The infusion center will grow from seven treatment spaces to 12 private infusion spaces, including specialized rooms to support additional patient needs. The additional infusion spaces will provide patients with more privacy and greater scheduling flexibility as demand for services continues to grow.
Expanded pharmacy services. A second pharmacy hood will help the hospital prepare more cancer treatment medications for patients close to home.
A second CT scanner. Berger Hospital currently operates the only CT scanner in Pickaway County. The additional scanner will double the hospital’s CT capacity, expanding imaging access for cancer patients while also supporting outpatient and emergency care.

The $10.2 million project is funded by OhioHealth and is expected to create new positions in nursing, pharmacy and imaging as the cancer program continues to grow.
