Routine Traffic Stop on US-23 Leads to Major Drug Seizure and Arrest in Pickaway County

PICKAWAY COUNTY — A southbound traffic stop on US-23 near Little Walnut Road resulted in a significant drug seizure and the arrest of a 44-year-old woman last night.

According to law enforcement, a vehicle was pulled over around 10:30 pm onTuesday by the Major Crimes Unit (MCU). During the encounter, a K-9 unit was deployed to conduct a free-air sniff around the vehicle, resulting in a positive alert for narcotics.

A subsequent search of the automobile uncovered what authorities described as a “large amount” of unidentified drugs.

The driver, identified as Andrea Crago, 44, was taken into custody at the scene. She has been booked into the Pickaway County Jail and faces felony charges including drug trafficking and possession of Schedule I and II drugs.

The vehicle involved was towed and secured at the Pickaway County impound lot. Officials have not yet released further details regarding the exact quantity or specific types of substances recovered as the investigation remains ongoing.
