CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — A 30-year-old man faces multiple charges, including probation violation, after allegedly driving under the influence through an apartment complex’s lawn early Friday morning.

According to preliminary reports, Circleville Police dispatch received a 911 call around 1:30 a.m. regarding a grey SUV reckless in the Apple Ridge Apartment complex. The caller reported that the driver, identified by the caller as Dustin Roe, was driving directly across the property’s grass rather than remaining on designated roadways. The caller explicitly noted that Roe was driving while intoxicated.

Moments later, dispatch was updated that the vehicle had left the complex and turned onto Lancaster Pike heading into town.

Circleville Police officers located the grey SUV shortly after and initiated a traffic stop. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers found Roe, 30, behind the wheel displaying signs of impairment. A search of the vehicle yielded open alcohol containers in the driver’s area.

Roe was taken into custody without further incident. He has been charged with:

  • Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence (OVI)
  • Reckless Operation
  • Open Container
  • Probation Violation

Roe was booked following the stop and remains subject to court proceedings in Pickaway County.
