
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The City of Chillicothe has officially released its schedule of events for the upcoming Independence Day holiday, featuring a blend of family-friendly pool activities, downtown transportation, and the traditional evening fireworks display.
Mayor Luke M. Feeney’s office shared the itinerary, inviting residents and visitors to participate in a full day of community celebrations across the city.
City Pool Party
Festivities will kick off in the evening with a special City Pool Party running from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Admission is $15 per person and includes access to the pool as well as provided refreshments.
Those interested in attending must purchase tickets in advance. Tickets are currently available at the Parks & Recreation desk located inside the City Administration Building at 35 S. Paint St.
Downtown Trolley Service
To help visitors navigate the holiday traffic and travel between local establishments seamlessly, the city’s Downtown Trolley will be operating on an extended schedule. The trolley will run its dedicated downtown route from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Independence Day Fireworks
The celebration will culminate with the city’s annual fireworks display at Yoctangee Park. The show is scheduled to begin at approximately 9:45 p.m.
City officials noted that local street routes surrounding Yoctangee Park will be temporarily modified on the holiday to allow for safe, efficient pedestrian and vehicular traffic flow before, during, and immediately following the display. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead for minor delays in the park area.
