
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to a variety of incidents throughout the city on June 11, including reports of assault, disorderly conduct, theft, a drug overdose, a missing juvenile, and the execution of multiple arrest warrants.
Officers were first contacted at 6:41 a.m. regarding an assault complaint. Police spoke with a male complainant by phone, but the individual was outside city limits at the time of the report.
At 9:23 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Ross County Law Enforcement Complex on East Seventh Street in reference to a threats complaint. The investigation remains ongoing.
A domestic dispute was reported at a residence on North High Street shortly before 10:45 a.m. Officers responded and documented the incident as disorderly conduct.
At 11:19 a.m., police arrested a man who voluntarily turned himself in at the Law Enforcement Complex on an active warrant. He was subsequently transported to the Ross County Jail.
Utility concerns also occupied officers during the day. At 12:36 p.m., police responded to the area of Mulberry and Riverside streets after reports of downed lines.
Less than 30 minutes later, officers took another individual into custody at Chillicothe Municipal Court on an active warrant and transported him to the Ross County Jail.
Theft investigations were initiated after officers were dispatched to East Main Street at 1:53 p.m. and later to Walmart on River Trace Lane at 9:17 p.m. Both investigations remain pending.
A parking complaint on West Sixth Street was investigated at 2:16 p.m., while officers also responded to a crash at a business on North Bridge Street shortly before 3 p.m. The crash investigation remains ongoing.
At 3:10 p.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to East Second Street for a reported drug overdose.
Additional crashes were reported during the afternoon, including a roadway incident on Jefferson Avenue. Details were not immediately available.
Officers also responded to Poland Park on South Hickory Street at 6:14 p.m. after receiving a disorderly conduct complaint. A verbal warning was issued, and no further action was taken.
One of the more serious calls of the evening came at 9:13 p.m. when officers were dispatched to Church Street regarding a missing juvenile. The investigation remains active. A second report related to the incident was later determined to have been created in error.
The final incident of the day occurred shortly before midnight when an officer initiated a traffic stop in the area of Gabe’s on North Bridge Street. The case was investigated as reckless operation on private property.
In total, the Chillicothe Police Department documented 17 incidents on June 11.
