LANCASTER, OH — AHA! Children’s Museum has announced a pair of dynamic summer events designed to blend community connection with hands-on learning, offering families an affordable way to keep children engaged and active over the summer break.

The upcoming seasonal programming features a mix of outdoor exploration and lively community entertainment, centered around the museum’s core mission of inspiring curiosity and creativity through interactive play.

Kicking Off the Season with “Celebrate! Summer!”

Families can officially welcome the warm weather at the museum’s “Celebrate! Summer!” event on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Hosted within AHA!’s expansive outdoor Raymond B. Martens Nature Playscape (weather permitting), the morning will feature an array of tactile, kid-friendly activities. Highlights include:

  • Customized sand art creation
  • Live animal interactions
  • Seasonal arts and crafts stations

Admission to “Celebrate! Summer!” is fully included with standard museum memberships or regular daily general admission tickets.

Vintage Tractors and Line Dancing in July

Later in the season, the museum will shift the fun to its parking lot for a massive evening gathering. On Sunday, July 19, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the museum will host “Line Dancing with Lori.” Offered completely FREE to the public, this special community gathering is held in coordination with the annual Lancaster Festival. Attendees of all ages can learn how to line dance under the guidance of instructor Lori. The dance floor will feature a unique backdrop of beautifully preserved vintage tractors, provided courtesy of the Fairfield County Antique Tractor Club.

“We encourage both newcomers and long-time AHA! members to join us this summer,” said Julia Hilty, executive director of AHA! Children’s Museum. “These events highlight what AHA! does best – creating opportunities for exploration, play, and creativity in a fun, welcoming environment.”
