Chillicothe Police Respond to Disorderly Conducts, Theft Complaints, and Traffic Incidents Throughout May 14

The Chillicothe Police Department handled a wide range of incidents across the city on May 14, 2026, including disorderly conduct complaints, theft investigations, traffic crashes, and multiple criminal complaints, according to the department’s daily media report.

Just after midnight, officers were dispatched to the 600 block of East 4th Street in reference to a disorderly conduct complaint.

At 12:21 a.m., police responded to 166 East 7th Street for a welfare check. The investigation remains ongoing.

Later in the morning, officers responded to Chillicothe Primary School on Cherry Street regarding a report of an unruly juvenile and criminal mischief complaint.

Police were also called to Columbia Avenue around 8:53 a.m. for a report of a possibly stolen vehicle. That investigation is pending.

Traffic enforcement activity throughout the day led to several stops and crash investigations. Officers cited violations including failure to yield, traffic control violations, and motorcycle law infractions, including operating a motorcycle without the proper endorsement. Crashes were reported on Caldwell Street and West Water Street.

Around 2:44 p.m., officers were dispatched to West 5th Street in reference to threats, resulting in a menacing by stalking investigation that remains active.

At approximately 3:21 p.m., officers responded to River Trace Lane regarding a reported theft by deception and obstruction complaint. The case remains under investigation.

Police were later dispatched to HomeBuys for a suspected theft complaint involving criminal trespass. Officers said the investigation is continuing.

Additional incidents during the day included reports of disorderly conduct, criminal trespass complaints on East 4th Street, an extended parking complaint on Fairway Avenue, and a theft report taken over the phone.

The final reported incident of the day occurred around 11:30 p.m. on East Main Street, where officers responded to a disorderly conduct complaint involving an intoxicated individual creating a risk of harm. Police said summonses were issued in the case.

In total, the department logged 18 incidents in the daily report.
