
CHILLICOTHE, OH — A Greenfield man was airlifted to a Columbus trauma center Thursday afternoon following a serious rear-end collision in Twin Township.
Troopers from the Chillicothe Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the scene on Rapid Forge Road, near the intersection of Moxley Road, at approximately 4:53 PM on April 30.
The Collision
According to investigators, the crash occurred when Stephanie Halloran, 30, of Greenfield, came to a stop in her 2015 Ford Explorer behind an emergency vehicle on Rapid Forge Road.
Dustin Lambert, 30, also of Greenfield, was traveling southwest in a 2001 Toyota Celica. Troopers report that Lambert failed to maintain an assured clear distance, striking the rear of Halloran’s SUV with significant force.

Injuries and Medical Response
The impact left Lambert with suspected serious injuries. He was treated on-site by Twin Township EMS before being transported via MedFlight to Grant Regional Medical Center in Columbus.
The passengers involved in the crash sustained varying levels of injury:
- Toyota Passengers: A passenger in Lambert’s vehicle sustained minor injuries.
- Ford Passengers: A front-seat passenger in Halloran’s vehicle reported minor injuries. Two juvenile passengers in the SUV were fortunately uninjured.
- Drivers: Halloran reported no injuries at the scene.
Road Closure and Investigation
Emergency crews, including the Ross County Sheriff’s Office and Twin Township Fire and EMS, assisted at the scene. Rapid Forge Road was shut down for approximately one hour as crews cleared the wreckage and MedFlight completed the transport.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed that the crash remains under investigation.
