CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio (April 3, 2026) — The Circleville Police Department responded to a series of serious and routine incidents on April 2, including multiple drug-related calls, a warrant arrest, and several domestic disturbances across the city.

According to the department’s daily media report, officers handled 23 reported cases, with several investigations still ongoing.

Drug Overdoses and Disorderly Conduct

Police were first dispatched shortly after midnight to East 4th Street for a reported overdose. Authorities say a summons was issued in connection with the incident, which also involved disorderly conduct and drug paraphernalia.

Less than an hour later, officers responded to a second overdose on Laurel Street, where emergency assistance was provided. No additional details about the victim’s condition have been released.

Juvenile and Domestic-Related Calls

Officers also handled multiple juvenile complaints, including incidents on Mill Street and East 7th Street late in the evening.

Throughout the day, police were called to several domestic disputes, including incidents on Hirn Street, Jefferson Avenue, Whaley Place Apartments, and Wetzel Drive. In most cases, officers reported that situations were stabilized, though investigations remain ongoing.

Theft, Trespassing, and Public Complaints

Police are investigating a reported theft on East 7th Street, along with multiple thefts at a North Bridge Street business. A separate call on Washington Avenue initially reported as a possible burglary was later classified as criminal trespass, with the investigation continuing.

Officers also responded to a public indecency complaint on East Main Street at a local business, where a report was taken.

Traffic Incidents and Crash Reports

Several crashes were reported during the day, including:

  • A hit-skip accident on North Bridge Street
  • A non-injury crash on North High Street
  • Additional crash reports on River Trace Lane and Western Avenue

Police also conducted a traffic stop on East Water Street, citing a driver for license violations and lack of a motorcycle endorsement.

Warrant Arrest Made

One arrest was made in the evening when an officer on patrol identified a driver with an active warrant. Jessica Lowery was taken into custody without incident near West Main and North High streets and transported to the Ross County Jail, where she was served on a failure-to-appear warrant.

Fire Call and Other Incidents

Officers were dispatched to Sherman Park for a possible structure fire, which was later determined to involve open burning or a recreational fire.

Additional calls throughout the day included reports of found property, disturbances, and disorderly conduct.

Police say the incidents reflect a typical mix of enforcement and community response efforts. Many of the cases remain under investigation.
