
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Chillicothe Police responded to a wide range of incidents on March 23, 2026, including assaults, thefts, a missing person report, and multiple disorderly conduct calls.
Officers were first dispatched early Monday morning to South Hickory Street for a domestic-related disorderly conduct incident. Later in the day, police served warrants on North Paint Street and conducted a welfare check on East Main Street, both of which remain under investigation.
A burglary complaint on West Fifth Street and several theft reports throughout the city kept officers busy, including incidents on Dayton Street, River Trace Lane, and East Fifth Street. Police also investigated a breaking and entering complaint at a storage facility on Western Avenue.
Serious incidents included a sexual imposition complaint reported at Southern Ohio Career Academy on East Main Street and a separate sexual assault allegation reported at the Law Enforcement Complex. Both cases remain under active investigation.
Officers also responded to a missing person report on North Paint Street, with the case still ongoing. Additional violent incidents included an assault reported on Yoctangee Parkway and another on North High Street, where an arrest warrant was issued.
Drug-related activity is also under investigation after detectives opened a case involving suspected trafficking and gang participation on North Bridge Street.
Throughout the evening, officers handled multiple disorderly conduct and trespassing complaints across the city, including calls on Columbus Street, Cleveland Street, and East Main Street. A traffic-related incident involving a black Kia sedan on South Bridge Street is also under investigation after officers attempted a stop for alleged violations.
In total, Chillicothe Police responded to 23 incidents throughout the day, with many cases remaining under investigation.
