ASHVILLE, Ohio — PowerConneX, Inc. will host its first public information meeting on April 1, 2026, to discuss plans for the proposed Ashville Energy Center, a natural gas-powered electric generation facility in Pickaway County.

The meeting will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Teays Valley High School Cafeteria, 3887 State Route 752, Ashville. Attendees can drop in anytime during the two-hour session to review information about the facility in an open house and poster-board format and to speak with project representatives and subject matter experts.

The Ashville Energy Center is planned to sit on approximately 110 acres and have a maximum generating capacity of up to 800 megawatts. The facility is intended to provide power to a data center on the same site. Construction could begin as early as the third quarter of 2026, with commercial operations projected for the second quarter of 2027.

PowerConneX anticipates filing its application with the Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) within 90 days of a second public information meeting. The OPSB case number for the project is 26-196-EL-BGN, and filings are available online at https://dis.puc.state.oh.us/CaseRecord.aspx?CaseNo=26-196.

Additional project information, including maps, is available on the project website at https://www.edgeconnex.com/ashville-oh-energy-center.
