
CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The Circleville Police Department responded to more than 100 calls for service between Feb. 20 and Feb. 22, handling a mix of theft reports, traffic stops, alarm drops, domestic issues and emergency squad calls across the city.
According to the department’s media log, officers were dispatched to 101 incidents over the three-day period.
Thefts and Burglary Reported
Several theft-related incidents were reported during the weekend, including cases on East Franklin Street, Walnut Street and South Court Street. A burglary was reported late Friday morning on East Franklin Street, with a report taken. Additional theft complaints were cleared or required no formal report.
Domestic Trouble and Protection Order Violation
Officers responded to a domestic trouble call early Sunday morning on Rustic Drive, where a report was taken. On Friday afternoon, police also took a report regarding a violation of a protection order on Clark Drive.
Juvenile and Mental Health Calls
Police handled a juvenile complaint that was gone upon arrival Saturday night. On Friday evening, officers responded to an unruly juvenile call on East Mill Street that resulted in a squad transporting an individual to the hospital for evaluation.
Runaway Report Filed
A runaway report was taken late Saturday night on Logan Street.
Traffic Stops and Enforcement
Multiple traffic stops were conducted throughout the weekend, with several warnings issued and at least one citation written for a parking complaint on South Pickaway Street. Officers also responded to a non-injury traffic crash Friday morning.
Alarm Drops and Fire/EMS Responses
Numerous alarm drops were reported across the city, including calls on Clark Drive, West Main Street, Dunkel Road, Atwater Avenue and U.S. 23. Some incidents required emergency squad transport to the hospital, while others were handled on scene or determined to be false alarms.
Suspicious Activity and Well-Being Checks
Officers investigated multiple suspicious person and suspicious vehicle calls, many of which were gone upon arrival. Several well-being checks were conducted throughout the weekend, with most individuals found to be safe.
Extra Patrols and Business Checks
Police conducted frequent extra patrols and business checks during overnight hours in areas including Lancaster Pike, Clark Drive, East Main Street and North Court Street. All were reported as checked and secure.
Overall, the weekend reflected routine patrol operations mixed with several reportable incidents requiring further investigation.
