Circleville Police Respond to 34 Calls on February 18

Circleville, OH – The Circleville Police Department responded to 34 calls for service on February 18, 2026, ranging from traffic stops and alarms to a reported breaking and entering.

Officers handled two early-morning fire/EMS alarm drops on Atwater Avenue. In both cases, squads responded but no transport was required, and the situations were resolved on scene.

Throughout the overnight hours, officers conducted numerous extra patrols across the city, including on East Mill Street, East Main Street, Springhollow Road, Meadow Drive, Clark Drive, and South Court Street. All were checked and found to be secure.

A traffic stop on U.S. Route 23 shortly after midnight resulted in a warning being issued. Later in the morning, officers issued a citation during a traffic stop on South Court Street and additional warnings during other stops throughout the day. Police also assisted with a traffic detail on North Court Street.

At 8 a.m., officers responded to a reported breaking and entering on Timberline Drive. A report was taken and the incident remains under investigation.

Police also responded to a natural gas or electric issue on Bolens Avenue, where information was obtained, and multiple 911 hang-up calls on Alma Avenue and Rustic Drive that were determined to be non-emergencies.

Two warrant-related calls on U.S. 23 and South Court Street resulted in suspects being gone on arrival. Officers were also unable to locate a reported drunk driver on Lancaster Pike and later on North Court Street.

Additional calls included a civil matter on East Franklin Street, several alarm drops that were cleared, a suspicious person complaint on East Mill Street, and a late-night noise complaint on South Scioto Street. In multiple cases, officers were unable to locate individuals involved after arrival.

Police officials remind residents to report suspicious activity promptly and to use 911 only for emergencies.
