Circleville Police Make Arrests, Respond to 37 Calls on February 11

Circleville Police handled 37 calls for service throughout the city on February 11, responding to incidents ranging from traffic stops and fraud complaints to a warrant arrest and a domestic violence arrest late in the evening.

Officers began the day shortly after midnight when they were dispatched to Sylvan Circle for a reported alarm drop. The call was canceled prior to officers arriving on scene.

At 1:21 a.m., units were advised of a traffic offense on South Court Street. Throughout the early morning hours, officers conducted multiple extra patrol checks on East Main Street, Clark Drive, Springhollow Road, Meadow Drive, East Union Street, and East Circle Lane. All locations were reported as checked and secure.

Police also responded to a 911 hang-up call on Lancaster Pike at 4:23 a.m., which was determined to be okay.

Traffic enforcement remained steady during the day. Officers conducted several traffic stops, issuing warnings on multiple occasions and at least one citation following a stop on U.S. 23 around 12:35 p.m. Traffic details were also conducted on North Court Street at various times throughout the day.

At 9:41 a.m., officers made a warrant arrest on South Court Street. Additional calls during the day included a property damage complaint on East Main Street, a civil process service on Lincoln Avenue, and a miscellaneous complaint on Kingston Pike.

Police responded to a fraud complaint on East Franklin Street in the afternoon; however, no report was taken. A non-injury crash was reported on Lancaster Pike at 4:19 p.m., and a report was filed. Another non-injury accident on Clark Drive later that evening was gone on arrival, with officers unable to locate the vehicles involved.

Officers also handled multiple well-being checks on Pleasant Street and South Pickaway Street, both of which were found to be okay. Calls regarding disabled vehicles were reported on West Main Street and South Washington Street.

Throughout the day, officers responded to complaints involving threats or harassment, a juvenile complaint, probation concerns, and reports of homeless individuals. In several of those cases, no formal report was taken.

The most serious incident of the day occurred at 11:43 p.m., when officers responded to South Pickaway Street for a domestic trouble call. An arrest was made in connection with the incident.

Circleville Police continue to encourage residents to report suspicious activity and traffic concerns as officers maintain routine patrols throughout the city.
