CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The Circleville Police Department handled a wide range of incidents across the city on Sunday, Feb. 9, responding to 34 calls for service, including a domestic-related arrest, an injury crash, and multiple civil and welfare-related complaints, according to the department’s media report released Feb. 10.

Police made an arrest following a domestic trouble call shortly after 1:15 a.m. in the area of East Franklin Street. Details of the arrest were not released in the daily report.

Throughout the early morning hours, officers conducted several extra patrols on East Circle Lane, South Pickaway Street, East Union Street, and East Main Street. All locations were checked and found to be okay.

At approximately 6:15 a.m., officers responded to a fire-related mutual aid request on Long Street involving the Circleville Fire Department. The call was later canceled before units arrived on scene.

Later in the morning, police handled a traffic detail on North Court Street and responded to an injury accident on East Ohio Street, where a report was taken. Officers also conducted a well-being check on North Court Street, which required no report.

Additional daytime calls included a civil problem on Parklawn Drive, a miscellaneous complaint on Kingston Pike, and a suspicious circumstances call in Beaver Alley, where officers were unable to locate anyone upon arrival. Police also took reports for found property on South Court Street and threats or harassment later that afternoon on North Court Street.

Officers continued to assist with traffic details, civil disputes, and theft-related calls, including a reported theft on Chatham Road that was cleared. Calls involving trespassing and property damage were also logged in several areas of the city.

During the late afternoon and evening, police responded to multiple juvenile complaints, trespassing incidents, and alarm drops, most of which were resolved without reports or found to be unfounded. Officers also checked on reports involving suspicious circumstances, parking complaints, and homeless individuals, clearing the majority of those calls.

The final call of the evening occurred just after 9:30 p.m. on South Court Street, where officers responded to a report involving a disabled vehicle and a homeless person. The call was cleared without further incident.
