CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Widespread business and government closures are being announced across the region as more than seven inches of snow blanketed the area Sunday, prompting safety concerns and hazardous travel conditions.

A growing list of stores and agencies reported early closures on Sunday, with some already confirming they will remain closed on Monday as cleanup efforts continue and weather conditions persist.

In Franklin County, Giant Eagle announced it will close all stores early Sunday, citing the impact of the winter storm and concern for employee and customer safety. In Pickaway County, Dairy Queen locations in Circleville and South Bloomfield also reported plans to close early.

Pickaway County Public Health Department is closed on Monday

Walmart in Circleville has reported an early closure.

Additionally, PICCA (Pickaway County Community Action) confirmed via social media that it will not open Monday, adding to the list of service disruptions caused by the storm.

Officials encourage residents to monitor business and government social media pages for the latest updates, avoid unnecessary travel, and use caution as road conditions remain dangerous.

More closures are expected to be announced as snowfall totals are assessed and cleanup operations continue.
