The purpose of the Pickaway County Agricultural Hall of Fame is to recognize outstanding
contributions by an individual to agriculture in Pickaway County. Annual awards to the Hall of
Fame will honor men, women and families who have made outstanding contributions to
Pickaway County agriculture.
Recipients
The number of awards distributed each year may not exceed 4 with no more than 2 being
posthumous. Award recipients may be from either of the following categories:
- Farmer or Breeder – individual who made a major contribution(s) from the land and
the products thereof - Agriculture – Related Activity (such as: industry, education, or government)
Selection Process
A panel of anonymous judges will be selected yearly by the Pickaway County Agricultural Hall of
Fame Committee. The decision of the judges is final. Nominations will be reconsidered in
subsequent years if the nominator contacts the committee with the request. Updated
information including letters of recommendation will need to be included.
Recognition of honorees will be at the Farm to Plate Dinner which will be held on Thursday,
September 4 th at AMVETS – 818 Tarlton Rd., Circleville, Ohio.
Nominations
Any individual or organization in Pickaway County may complete a nomination form. Question
space on forms may be adapted as needed. Do not change, delete, or add to the questions on
the form.
Complete nomination packages include:
- Nomination form
- Photo of nominee (preferably in color; at least 600 dpi if sent electronically)
- Letters of recommendation (no more than 2 by unrelated individuals other than the
nominator)
All components must be received for the nominee to be considered. Completed form, photo,
and recommendation letters must be postmarked or returned no later than Friday, July 25th,
