Circleville Police Respond to Disturbances, Theft, and Breaking & Entering on Jan. 13

The Circleville Police Department handled a wide range of calls for service across the city on January 13, 2026, including traffic stops, suspicious activity, property damage, theft, and a reported breaking and entering, according to the department’s daily media log.

Officers conducted numerous extra patrol checks overnight and into the early morning hours in neighborhoods including East Circle Lane, Mace Drive, Wood Lane, Clark Drive, Pontious Lane, Springhollow Road, Walnut Street, and Arbor Road. All extra patrols were checked and found to be okay.

Shortly before 5 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on North Pickaway Street, resulting in a citation. Later in the morning, officers responded to a non-injury crash on East Main Street, where a citation was also issued. Additional traffic enforcement included a warning issued during a stop on East Franklin Street.

Throughout the day, officers were dispatched to several disturbance and neighbor-related complaints on South Pickaway Street and York Street. In most cases, situations were resolved without reports being filed.

Police also responded to multiple well-being checks, including calls on McCrea Avenue and East Mill Street. One individual could not be located, while another check concluded with no concerns found.

Several alarm drops involving Fire/EMS were reported across the city, including incidents on Nicholas Drive, Clark Drive, Atwater Avenue, and Pontious Road. All were checked and handled on scene, with no transports required.

At approximately 10:30 a.m., officers took a trespassing report on U.S. 22 West, followed later by a property damage report on South Court Street and a found property report on Sunnyview Drive.

Suspicious person and suspicious circumstances calls were reported throughout the afternoon and evening on Rustic Drive, Lincoln Avenue, Pontious Road, North Court Street, Lee Court, and West Main Street. In several cases, individuals were gone upon officers’ arrival.

In the evening hours, police responded to a theft report on East Main Street and later took a breaking and entering report on East Mound Street shortly after 10 p.m. Details of those investigations were not released.

In total, 34 calls for service were logged by Circleville police on January 13. Several cases remain under investigation.
