
CIRCLEVILLE — Circleville Police handled a steady flow of calls throughout Monday, December 8, responding to disturbances, traffic issues, civil complaints, and several reports of suspicious activity.
The day began just after midnight with officers taking a report for a disturbance on Ray Avenue. Extra patrols were conducted on North Court Street and East High Street shortly after.
Around 3:30 a.m., officers completed a business check on U.S. Route 23, finding everything secure. At 4:50 a.m., a vehicle repossession on South Scioto Street was cleared without incident.
A suspicious person call came in at 6:49 a.m., but officers were unable to locate the individual. Shortly after 7 a.m., a non-injury crash on West Mound Street resulted in a report being filed.
Two parking complaints—one on Avon Drive and another on Pearl Street—did not require reports. Several civil process attempts were made throughout the morning and early afternoon on Rosewood Avenue, Meadow Drive, Nicholas Drive, and Pontious Lane, with mixed results.
Officers also took reports for found property on East Franklin Street and South Court Street and conducted a well-being check on Avon Drive, which was confirmed to be okay.
Another non-injury crash occurred at 4:13 p.m. on East Mound Street. Later in the afternoon, police responded to a juvenile complaint on South Court Street and a fire call on Harrison Street, which required no report. A follow-up call about a homeless person on the same street resulted in officers being unable to locate the individual.
Evening calls included civil paperwork served on Meadow Lane, a suspicious vehicle on West Main Street that was gone upon arrival, and a domestic trouble call on Parklawn Drive, which resulted in a report.
In total, Circleville Police logged 27 incidents for the day.
