
CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — Circleville police responded to 40 calls for service on Thursday, December 4, 2025, ranging from routine patrols and wellness checks to theft reports, accidents, and an assault requiring hospital transport.
Throughout the early morning hours, officers conducted numerous extra patrols across the city, including on Sycamore Drive, East Franklin Street, East Corwin Street, East Circle Lane, and South Court Street. Several alarm drops and 911 hang-ups were also investigated and found to be unfounded.
A well-being check on Half Avenue resulted in no report, while another check later in the evening on Garden Parkway was handled with all units advised.
By mid-morning, police responded to an animal complaint on South Scioto Street and took a theft report on East Corwin Street. Shortly after, a carbon monoxide call on Reber Avenue required medical response, though no transport was needed.
In the early afternoon, officers investigated a noise complaint on South Pickaway Street, followed by an injury accident on the same street where a report was taken. A suspicious person was checked on Town Street, and later, an assault on Lancaster Pike resulted in the victim being transported to the hospital.
Evening calls included a trespassing report on U.S. 23 South, a threats/harassment complaint on Renick Avenue, and multiple 911 hang-ups that yielded no findings. Circleville Fire Department was also requested for mutual aid on Walnut Creek Pike for a fire call that was cleared.
Late Thursday night, officers took a breaking and entering report on Hayward Avenue, handled a miscellaneous complaint on East Franklin Street, and responded to a noise complaint on Second Avenue. An encounter with a homeless individual on North Court Street resulted in no report.
The final call of the night was a traffic stop on Williams Drive, where a warning was issued.
