Chillicothe Police Respond to 18 Incidents in Busy Start to the Week

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department released its daily media log for Monday, November 24, 2025, documenting 18 separate calls ranging from traffic violations and theft complaints to assault reports and warrant pickups.


Overnight Traffic Enforcement

Just after midnight, officers initiated a traffic stop on S. Douglas Avenue, issuing a citation for driving under suspension. Later in the night, another driver was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device on W. Water Street.

Several additional traffic-related incidents occurred throughout the day, including:

  • Right-of-way crash near Red Lobster on North Bridge Street, resulting in a citation for failure to yield.
  • Two separate driving-under-suspension stops, one involving Tonya Free, and another involving Robert Bixler Jr., both issued citations and court dates.

Warrant Arrest & Criminal Investigations

At 8:43 a.m., officers responded to the Jackson County Jail to take custody of a subject with an active warrant.

Investigations also began into multiple reports across the city, including:

  • An attempted breaking and entering at a business on Western Avenue.
  • A telecommunications harassment complaint reported at the Law Enforcement Complex.
  • A theft report on Columbus Street.
  • A criminal trespass complaint on North High Street.
  • An assault reported at 354 E. 4th Street late Monday night.

A serious case involving pandering obscenity involving a minor was also referred to detectives following a juvenile-related call on S. Paint Street.


Disorderly Conduct & Miscellaneous Calls

Officers handled several disorderly conduct calls throughout the day, including disputes on:

  • Sherman Park
  • North Bridge Street
  • E. 4th Street

Police also responded to a hit-skip crash at the intersection of E. Main Street and Cutright Drive, as well as a civil standby, juvenile complaints, and non-criminal disturbances.

All incidents remain under review, with several investigations still ongoing.
