Chillicothe Police Respond to Series of Incidents Throughout Weekend

CHILLICOTHE — The Chillicothe Police Department handled more than a dozen calls for service on Sunday, November 23, 2025, ranging from warrants and traffic stops to disorderly conduct reports and domestic-related incidents, according to the department’s daily media log.

Early Morning Incidents
At 2:23 a.m., officers initiated a traffic stop on a Jeep SUV on Columbus Street. Police reported that the driver was wanted on an outstanding warrant. The investigation remains ongoing.

Just an hour later, around 3:26 a.m., an officer stopped a male subject at Poland Park on South Hickory Street. The individual was reportedly in the park after hours and suspected of possessing drug paraphernalia. That investigation also continues.

At 6:32 a.m., officers responded to North Bridge Street, though no further details were provided in the report.

Man Found Passed Out at IHOP
Around 7:59 a.m., police were called to the IHOP on Consumer Center Drive for a report of a man passed out in a vehicle. The incident resulted in a charge of having physical control of a vehicle while under the influence. Police say the case remains under review.

Crash at Western Avenue McDonald’s
At 10:33 a.m., officers responded to a minor-injury crash at the Western Avenue McDonald’s. The incident involved a right-of-way violation by a driver turning left. No major injuries were reported, and the investigation continues.

Afternoon Disturbances and Juvenile Complaint
Police were called to 812 Jefferson Avenue at 12:23 p.m. for a trespassing and disorderly conduct complaint.

Minutes later, at 12:27 p.m., officers responded to a residence on East 4th Street for a juvenile complaint involving a missing or unruly minor. Officers say the situation is still under investigation.

At 1:50 p.m., officers returned to Jefferson Avenue—this time the 800 block—for a domestic dispute call. The incident remains open.

Domestic Violence and Park Disturbances
At 2:18 p.m., officers were dispatched to Ewing Street for a reported domestic violence incident. Police did not release additional details, citing the ongoing investigation.

Sherman Park saw multiple calls Sunday afternoon.
• At 2:42 p.m., officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct involving fighting.
• At 4:08 p.m., officers returned to Sherman Park for a report of disorderly conduct involving insulting or taunting behavior. Officers reported “nothing further” from that call.

Chillicothe Police closed out the evening with additional reports, bringing the day’s total to 13 incidents.

The department continues to investigate several of Sunday’s cases.
