
CHILLICOTHE — The Chillicothe Police Department handled a wide range of incidents throughout the day on Friday, November 21, according to the department’s daily media log. Officers responded to traffic violations, domestic disputes, property crimes, and several ongoing investigations.
The day began shortly after midnight when an officer conducted a traffic stop on Eastern Avenue, issuing a citation for a driver operating under suspension (DUS) related to an FRA/RV violation.
A few hours later, at 7:57 a.m., officers were called to South McArthur Street for a report of an unattended vehicle obstructing an alleyway.
At 10:35 a.m., police responded to East 4th Street for a domestic-related disorderly conduct complaint. The investigation remains ongoing.
Officers later handled a hit-skip crash investigation around 10:55 a.m. and continued gathering details.
Just after noon, police were called to North Bridge Street twice for non-criminal matters, including a trespassing complaint that remains under investigation. Another non-criminal incident followed shortly after at South Sugar Street.
At 1:27 p.m., officers took a burglary report after a complainant arrived at the Law Enforcement Complex lobby with concerns. A more serious case was logged at 1:50 p.m. when detectives opened a juvenile rape investigation following a referral from Athens County Job and Family Services. That investigation also remains active.
Police responded to Piatt Avenue at 3:48 p.m. for a forgery and theft report.
Around 4:28 p.m., a resident on Walnut Hills Drive reported that her ex-boyfriend had allegedly accessed and altered her Spectrum cable and internet accounts, resulting in increased charges. Officers are continuing to investigate the unauthorized account access.
A domestic dispute at Tiffin Towers on South Walnut Street was reported at 5:48 p.m., with officers documenting the incident and continuing their investigation.
At 6:44 p.m., officers stopped a bicycle on East 2nd Street for lacking a taillight and subsequently addressed a warrant-related matter.
Later that evening, police responded to North Paint Street for a found property report, followed by a juvenile-related complaint at Sherman Park at 8 p.m.
In total, the department logged 15 calls for service, several of which remain under investigation.
