Chillicothe Police Respond to Crashes, Disturbances, and Burglary on November 20

Chillicothe Police handled a series of calls Thursday, November 20, ranging from traffic violations and crashes to theft and a reported burglary, according to the department’s daily media log.

The day began just before 6 a.m. when officers responded to a suspension-related traffic violation. Less than an hour later, a driver was cited after allegedly failing to stop for a school bus near East Main Street and East 5th Street.

Around 6:59 a.m., officers were dispatched to Renick Lane after a report of criminal mischief. The investigation remains ongoing.

Police also responded to a traffic injury crash at 9:05 a.m. involving a driver failing to yield. Later that morning, officers assisted Children Services at a Sherman Park residence. A separate non-criminal theft report was filed at the law complex at 9:47 a.m., with that investigation continuing.

At 10:49 a.m., officers were called to Dunkin’ Donuts on Western Avenue for a reported crash involving a failure to yield. Minutes later, police responded to an active disturbance at Sherman Park.

A burglary was reported on Prospect Street at 11:24 a.m. Police say the incident occurred at an unknown time, and the investigation is ongoing.

In the afternoon, officers were called to North Mulberry Street for a possible domestic dispute. A stolen vehicle complaint was filed on Fairway Avenue at 3:14 p.m., and later, police conducted a warrant check at McArthur Gardens on Columbus Street.

Officers also responded to a parking complaint on East 2nd Street at 6:14 p.m. Two additional criminal mischief and vandalism-related complaints were reported—one on East Main Street at 6:53 p.m. and another on Maple Avenue at 9:48 p.m. Both remain under investigation.

In total, police handled 16 calls throughout the day.
