CIRCLEVILLE — The Circleville Police Department handled a steady flow of calls on Wednesday, November 19, responding to 29 incidents ranging from disturbances and traffic stops to domestic situations and downed utility lines.

The first call of the day came just after midnight when officers were dispatched to a disturbance on South Pickaway Street, but the individual involved was gone upon arrival. Several extra patrols were conducted throughout the early morning hours on North Court Street, Edgewood Drive, East Mound Street, and East Circle Lane.

At 3:31 a.m., officers made an arrest involving a homeless individual on South Court Street. Later, at 6:25 a.m., police responded to a non-injury crash on West Main Street, where a report was taken.

A 911 accidental call from Georgia Road and a lines-down incident on West Mill Street kept crews busy during the morning. Shortly afterward, fire personnel responded to an alarm drop on South Court Street, but no transport was required.

Throughout the afternoon, officers investigated a disturbance, a suspicious vehicle, and a theft on South Court Street. Multiple 911 hang-ups occurred over the course of the day, including calls from Island Road and North Pickaway Street — all checked okay or found to be accidental.

Animal complaints, civil issues, and warrant attempts rounded out the mid-day activity, with officers unable to locate subjects in several cases.

The evening saw back-to-back traffic stops on Town Street and East Ohio Street, both resulting in warnings. Police also took reports for domestic incidents on South Court Street at two separate times during the night.

Later, officers investigated a reported burglary on Walnut Street and a suspicious person on West Union Street, but were unable to locate individuals in either case. The day concluded with a mutual aid fire call on Jameson Street at 11:58 p.m.

In total, Circleville Police documented 29 calls for service, closing out another active day of patrol and response across the city.
